چکیده
Privacy preservation is an important issue in the release of data for mining purposes. The k-anonymity model has been introduced for protecting individual identification. Recent studies show that a more sophisticated model is necessary to protect the association of individuals to sensitive information. In this paper, we propose an (α, k)-anonymity model to protect both identifications and relationships to sensitive information in data. We discuss the properties of (α, k)-anonymity model. We prove that the optimal (α, k)-anonymity problem is NP-hard. We first present an optimal global-recoding method for the (α, k)-anonymity problem. Next we propose two scalable local-recoding algorithms which are both more scalable and result in less data Raymond Chi-Wing Wong Department of Computer Science and Engineering Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Jiuyong Li School of Computer and Information Sciences University of South Australia Ada Wai-Chee Fu Department of Computer Science and Engineering Chinese university of Hong Kong Ke wang Department of Computer Science Simon Fraser University, Canada

Pre-Clinical Development of BCG.HIVACAT, an Antibiotic-Free Selection Strain, for HIV-TB Pediatric Vaccine Vectored by Lysine Auxotroph of BCG
In the past, we proposed to develop a heterologous recombinant BCG prime-recombinant modified vaccinia virus Ankara (MVA) boost dual pediatric vaccine platform against transmission of breast milk HIV-1 and Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). In this study, we assembled an E. coli-mycobacterial shuttle plasmid pJH222.HIVA(CAT) expressing HIV-1 clade A immunogen HIVA. This shuttle vector employs an...
متن کاملEts-2 Acts As a Transcriptional Repressor of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 through Binding to a Repressor–Activator Target Sequence of 5′-LTR
HIV-1 is transcriptionally active in activated T helper (Th)-cells and inactive in naive or resting memory Th-cells. Ets-2 is a preinduction transcriptional repressor of the IL-2 gene in naive Th-cells and a candidate transcriptional repressor of HIV-1 in the same cells, because the -279 to -250 upstream region of HIV-1-LTR [repressor-activator target sequence (RATS)], that participates in HIV-...
متن کاملEffect of insulin-like growth factor I on HIV type 1 long terminal repeat-driven chloramphenicol acetyltransferase expression.
In this study, we have investigated the ability of insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) to inhibit HIV long terminal repeat (LTR)-driven gene expression. Using COS 7 cells cotransfected with tat and an HIV LTR linked to a chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (CAT) reporter, we observed that physiological levels of IGF-I (10(-9) M) significantly inhibited CAT expression in a concentration- and time...
متن کاملResponse of human immunodeficiency virus long terminal repeat to growth factors and hormones.
We have employed a recombinant plasmid, pBHIV1, carrying the long terminal repeat (LTR) of the human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) linked to the reporter chloramphenicol acetyl transferase (cat) gene and to the aminoglycoside phosphotransferase (aph) gene as a selectable marker. We have introduced pBHIV1 in rat 208F and human MRCSV40TGR fibroblasts and obtained stable geneticin resistant RFB...
متن کاملCommitment to apoptosis in CD4(+) T lymphocytes productively infected with human immunodeficiency virus type 1 is initiated by lysosomal membrane permeabilization, itself induced by the isolated expression of the viral protein Nef.
Primary CD4(+) T lymphocytes, supporting in vitro human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) replication, are destined to die by apoptosis. We explored the initial molecular events that act upstream from mitochondrial dysfunction in CD4(+) T lymphocytes exposed to the HIV-1(LAI) strain. We tracked by immunofluorescence the cells expressing the p24 viral antigen and used Percoll density gradien...
